I’m sitting by my computer, trying to stay awake for my 7:00AM flight out of Boston to the hellish grounds of Newark airport, then hopefully with no delay this time, directly to Narita, 13 hours away. I’m going to miss my friends and family so much, but I’m not going to miss the lousy service, the tipping, and the jerk cab drivers and their dirty tactics. Boston was fun, Providence was relaxing, and NYC was crazy. We had a wonderful time, found birthday cake icecream at Walgreens, and ate lots of omellettes and donuts. I do miss Japan though, the clean bathrooms especially. I also miss the efficiency of Japan’s transit system, which puts the Boston(boasting the first subways in America) Green Line to shame. I’m sure I’ll be back to visit the States again soon, but until then I hope more people will come and visit me in Tokyo.
