Hong Kong revisited

wow!
I had a great time in Hong Kong this past weekend. I went with my good friend Keppa to explore the night markets in Kowloon, visit the great Buddha on Lan Tau, and check out the skyline atop the Peak. It was an incredible trip, we rode Dragon Airlines both ways and stayed at The Panda Hotel, which was sort of the embodiment of every Westerners view of Chinese Asia. The Panda Hotel was unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed in, maybe it was the neon purple lights, maybe it was the vast expanse of red lanterns hanging from the ceilings, or maybe it was the lounge singer with the palm trees…

Both Keppa and I have friends living in Hong Kong, and we were able to meet both of them. Haimeng is doing well, she’s working hard at her new job. I met Keppa’s friend Pak, who programs robots for the Hong Kong police. Pak is a great guy, he joined us on our expedition through Temple Street as we bargained our way through piles of clothing, bags, and funky cigarette lighters. Below are links to some video I took while I was there, please check them out! (please give them a minute to load, it might take some time…)
