Kamakura

Lizzie and I had a great time walking around Kamakura today. We went to see the giant Buddha, then walked around a beautiful shrine up the road. For lunch we had fancy soba noodles, then afterwards, Lizzie tried some Japanese deserts, like sticky rice balls on a stick covered in sweet bean paste. She’s having a great time, it’s a lot of fun wandering around. After seeing the shrines and the Buddha, we walked down to the beach and collected seashells for a while. We’re back in the city now, it gets cold out in the evenings. We’re going to ramen again for dinner tonight, she’s been asking to go again. After dinner we might meet up with John and Akiyo to hang out for a little while. Above is a photo of Lizzie with my friend Hodaka after Lizzie arrived in Japan, and the other photo is of us on the train(sorry if the photos are a little fuzzy, I took them with my phone camera).
