I’m still packing all of my things, preparing to move yet again. Unfortunately, the moving company can’t take back my washing machine and fridge, so now I have to figure out how to get rid of them. In Japan, you’re charged for throwing away appliances. Washing machines can cost anywhere from $30 to throw away while fridges cost upwards from $50! Yikes. Tokyo is very strict about recycling, all of our trash must be separated into burnable, non-burnable, metals, and plastics. It’s tedious, but it’s a good thing.
