Off to the races!…
I met up with my friend Stan this morning for breakfast, we hit Viron in Shibuya for their bread, jam and infinite coffee set. Afterward, we took a stroll through Shibuya and wandered into an underground video game arcade. Near the back corner, we noticed lots of flashing lights, and then there it was. A miniature race course with tiny little horses, all of them mechanical with little moving legs and riders. It was amazing, there were tiny spotlights that followed the horses, then on a giant video screen behind the table, a 3D animation that followed the tiny horse race with an announcer. When the race would start, the little spotlights would swing over and a starting line emerged from the center of the track and moved in front of the horses. All of the tiny details were amazing, and the fact that it all moved so perfectly! It was just like a tiny horse race, even with a crowd cheering in the background!
