Day before New Years party

I took this photo with my Sigma 10-20mm early this morning. There’s a creepy house across the street from my apartment that always has antique Japanese garbage sitting in front of it. Each day there’s something new, and at the end of each day it disappears. Today there were two teapots in deep red and orange colors. My regret is not documenting the fascinating garbage that has appeared in front of this place from the day I moved in across the street. Last week there were ceramic Japanese dolls and a bright red toaster oven.

Later the same day, I went to John and Akiyo’s house for a pre-New Years party. A lot of my old friends were there and I brought two boxes of fried shrimp and a stollen(with marzipan inside, ha! I was able to find one in Tokyo, finally thanks to Ai’s advice). Akiyo cooked lots of wonderful food and we all had lots of fun playing with Rob and Nahomi’s son, Jamie who is now a year and a half old. I took this lovely photo of John and the boys at the end of the evening. The photo below is of little Jamie on the couch, moments before chewing on his book.
