A day at Dean & Deluca
We went out for a bike ride today to Shinagawa station, about 15 minutes from our apartment. There’s a Dean & Deluca cafe in the station so we took a seat to do some more wedding planning and wound up staying there for hours. It was an odd experience, Waki would fall deep into concentration deciding the seating layout and I, without any input, found myself wandering around for a few minutes then returning to sit down to join her again. It felt as though Dean & Deluca was my apartment for a few hours this afternoon. Every half hour or so I would stroll over and buy a cookie, sit down and eat it, then stand up and do it again about a half hour later. We even wound up having dinner there. It was really great actually, but still strange that we stayed there for so long. I really dig their rosemary focaccia.
