Street Fighter IV

If it wasn’t for the high difficulty level and the 100 yen per play system I’d probably stop working altogether and play Street Fighter IV full time. At least until they peel my dead hands from the machine 60 years later. It’s the most beautiful Street Fighter I have ever seen. The black splashes of ink, the semi-cell shaded characters, and the impressive backgrounds. I heard these machines won’t be making it State-side which is really unfortunate. The first time I played Street Fighter was at my friend Jack’s house on his SNES. Those memories of that legendary game are permanently engraved in my mind. Seeing and playing it like this though, in Japan, in an arcade, with smoking Japanese salarymen, is just as amazing an experience. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to a joystick though, a handheld controller is really the only way to play this.
