Aux Gourmande
Took my wife out for an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner at French restaurant Aux Gourmande. Aux Gourmande’s dishes uses some great local ingredients which is one of the reasons I like the place. I had their grilled inoshishi with roasted vegetables and Waki had the simmered beef cheek in a red wine reduction, their signature dish. Inoshishi is Japanese wild boar, it’s a little tough(maybe not the best way to put it), but the flavor and texture is wonderful. Desert was really surprising. What looked like a slice of chocolate cake was actually a super rich chocolate paste shaped like a slice of chocolate cake served with a dab of expresso icecream. Really perfect Valetine’s Day dinner.
