Birthday on a tea field
Waki and I spent the weekend in Shizuoka exploring the tea fields and local scenery. The tea fields were amazing, long sprawling fields of bright green. I still can’t get over the icecream we had at the top of this mountain area. It was some kind of green tea icecream with little bits of tea leaves mixed in, it was excellent. I could either choose between the green tea icecream or the icecream with tiny shrimp in it. The choice was an easy one. Lots of fun and Waki really enjoyed it, especially the ancient shrine we visited and the nearby museum. Really fantastic museum, they had an entire wall of ancient katanas and shogun armor.
